Clearing a Home With Crystal Singing Bowls
Crystal Singing Bowls are used in House Clearing to change the vibration of the room and bring it in to a higher vibration.
Everything has a vibration, a frequency and a sound (though it is often not audible) - people, nature, the objects in a home, the structure of a home. Sound, whether audible or not, produces vibrations and will affect all people and all matter, both emotionally and physically. Sound can be used for healing, Different sounds affect molecules in different ways. Vowels vibrate every cell and molecule in the body. When the cells stop vibrating there is need for healing. Music may also boost the immune system. It lessens our perception of both emotional and physical pain and lowers blood pressure and heart rate.
In energy clearing, any musical instrument can be used, even the voice, which is the most healing of all instruments. The tool is less important than the way you use it and the Intention you use it with. Start with larger and louder sounds and proceed to smaller and more refined sounds. As you move about the space you will find the tone of the instrument changes. When you are familiar with your tool, you will know from these changes where the energy is stuck or stagnant. Then sound can be used to resonate the space back into harmony.
When you inhabit a space, there are already energies present that affect you. Also, you would like to create and leave a positive imprint of your energy and intention in that space so the space can fulfill its task. The space clearing ritual is a powerful, intimate dialog that is transformative both inside and out. So although you might see your house as a ‘thing’ or an object that is outside of your self, it is as much a part of you as your skin. This wonderful ceremony helps us to awaken to that reality and make changes that shift the energy within the space and within our selves, impacting our lives thereafter.
I believe that in a space clearing, it is vital that the client and the practitioner are equal partners.
Clearing a room using sound
Shift your consciousness so that you can feel and become the sound.
Feel the sound vibrate inside of you.
Imagine that the sound is radiating out from you to fill the room.
A room that has been harmonized will seem to glow and sing with light.
Singing bowls
Singing bowls are made from 7 metals - iron, copper, tin, silver, lead, gold and zinc, and are often hand pounded.
A mallet run around the edge of the bowl creates a tone that builds in density and volume, creating a remarkable energy field, which spirals outward from the bowl.
They can also be used by setting them singing and then lifting them in an upward spiral. Or, they can be used by setting them singing and then scooping the sound towards your heart and then out again into the room. Singing bowls create a sacred spiral that attracts a deluge of cosmic energy.

Types of Sound Healing and Methods we use.
Gongs
·Begin with very soft, gentle taps around the periphery of the gong. The vibration will begin to build, Gradually bring the circle inward until the entire gong has increased in resonance and then strike once in the middle of it. ·Work from the largest, deepest sounds to the Rattles Rattles are good complements to drums for room clearing. They have a softer sound and can refine the energies created by the drum. They come in many shapes and forms with different sounds. Clapping Clapping dissipates energy and can be used when no other tools are available. It is very effective both in assessment and cleansing. How to clap · Make sure your body is relaxed. · Use small fast claps to test the energy, and larger, louder ones to clear it. · Clap from floor to the ceiling with your arms spread apart after each clap. You are uplifting the energy of the room as your clapping gets closer to the ceiling. · When the energy is clear the clapping will sound clean, crisp and clear. · Finish with the sign of infinity. Chanting You can chant a mantra - a holy word, the name of God, words like 'peace' or even your own name. It may be better to use a word that is not in your own language the Sanskrit word Om is often used. Use your own chants or whatever feels right for you. Bells Clearing with bells leaves a crystal-clear energy field in a room. The quality of this energy will depend on the size of the bell, the kind of metal used and the energy and culture of the bell maker. The best bell is a bell that you love. The note from a bell will sound much clearer and last much longer after a space clearing is complete. For clients with logical minds or who need some proof of the effectiveness of space clearing, ring the bell before you start the clearing and again after you are complete. On each occasion, count for the duration of the time it rings to clearly show that the sound lasts longer after the space clearing. Bells are also very good at clearing the aura. How to rattle · Bless the rattle by offering cornmeal or tobacco to the Four Directions. · Leave a bowl for the cornmeal or tobacco and another for the offering. · Take a pinch of cornmeal or tobacco, blow gently on it, hold it in the direction of the East and ask for blessing from the Spirit of the East. · Place the blessed cornmeal or tobacco in the offering bow]. · Repeat in each of the Four Directions. · Take a last pinch of cornmeal or tobacco, blow on it, hold it close to your heart and ask for a blessing from Great Spirit. · Put the offering bowl in the center of the room as a gift to the spirits who have come to help. · Rattle in each of the Four Directions (your wrists should be loose and your hand relaxed). Use a very fast woodpecker-like movement. · To break up particularly stagnant spots hold the rattle about eye level and do rapid rattles until the area feels lighter. · Seal the room by standing outside the door and rattling rapidly down the length of the door as if zipping it closed. Types of bells It is best to have a series of bells, from large bells with deeper sounds for breaking up stagnant energy, to smaller ones for bringing a refined purity into a room. You can even use jingle bells for very refined sound. · Tibetan bells - Made from iron, copper, tin, silver, lead, gold and zinc. The energy is multidimensional. · Brass bells - Good brass bells generate a go for-it energy. They are very yang and good for a home where the people have become inward, reserved and stagnant. · Bronze bells - Good for grounding. They have a silken wave-like form and then suddenly sink to the floor. For homes with flighty, scattered energy. · Harmony balls - Also called Mayan balls or Druid balls, these release a delicate essence into a room. These are excellent to use after you have already cleared out the heavy, denser energies. Their airy tinkling sounds create a sense of light and joy everywhere. Tibetan Bells The Tibetan bell and Vajra are ritual instruments always used in pairs. The Vajra (Sanskrit) or Dorje, (Tibetan) is a scepter-like object made of bronze, silver or gold. This is the yang, or masculine force. Originally it was a symbol of the Hindu deity, Indra. It represents a thunderbolt or the adamantine. The Vajra is used with the bell, Ghanta or Drilbu, which has a handle shaped like half of the vajra scepter. The bell represents the yin, or feminine aspect. Together, bell in left hand, vajra in the right hand, they are the dual unity of absolute and relative truths. Bell care · Keep bells in a special place when not in use. · Treat them with care and love. · Clean them · If you take your bells from your home, keep them wrapped in cloth (black silk is good), and carry them in a separate bag if possible. · Only let people who you feel good about handle your bells so that they keep their purity of vibration. How to ring bells Hold the bell lightly with a loose, relaxed hand Ringing (vigorously)- creates a continual ringing. Swing your arm to help get the energy flowing. Ringing (gently) - hold the bell at the base of the handle and ring it gently. With the left hand move the sound out into the room from the heart chakra. Striking - gives more control over the sound, use a wooden stick. As a singing bowl - Tap the bell and run the wooden stick around the rim. Using bells for room clearing · Open the windows to symbolically allow the stagnant energy to flow out. · Hold your bell in your hand for a moment to reacquaint yourself with it · Stand in the center of the room holding the bell in your right hand. · Strike your bell once and listen very carefully. Stagnant energy will make the bell sound muffled, erratic energy will make it sound tinny and shrill. You need to know the varying sounds of your bell so you can decipher its different responses to different energies. · Take the largest hell to the easternmost corner. Strike it cleanly 4 times, listening carefully after each ring as you move the bell from floor to ceiling in a spiraling motion. The sound should become clearer and sharper. If it doesn’t, continue to ring the bell, waiting between strokes until you can no longer hear the sound. Continue until the sound becomes very sharp and has a clear resonance. · Continue round the room in a clockwise manner. Feel for stagnant energies with your left hand as you walk and strike the bell where necessary until each part of the room has clarity of sound. · Then repeat circling the room using smaller and smaller bells, each time ringing and listening until you get a really clean, clear sound. · After the last circling of the room, use your hand to trace a large infinity sign in the corner where you began; closing the circle by connecting the beginning to the end. Or, ring the bell and stop it with your hand |
DRUMS Like singing bowls, drums can both clear and invoke energy. Drums break up thick energy very quickly and are good for clearing emotions. As well as clearing the room of negative energy, the vibrations of the drum will be absorbed by anyone close by. People will absorb the vibrations they need for their own healing. The drum is feminine and the drumstick masculine. When they are brought together they harmonize the two opposing yet harmonious forces of the universe, yin and yang. Within the ('drum itself there also exists both yin and yang, the rim being masculine and the inner area of the skin being feminine; the outer skin being masculine and the space within the drum being feminine. The drum is a very balancing space clearing tool. Always, the center of the drum is Great Spirit. Drums will sound different in different places and at different times of the day. They respond to the moisture content of the air and the skin becomes tighter or looser accordingly. A drum will 'talk', even when not being played, as it adapts to atmospheric changes The materials from which a drum is made empower the drum. Honor the animal and tree gave their life to the drum. Kinds of drums Though any kind of drum may be used, the most common kind of drum for space clearing is a hand-held frame drum. These are tied using either 4 or 8 strands of sinew representing the 4 or 8 main compass directions. Kinds of drum sticks · Leather covered - will produce a harder, more yang sound. · Sheepskin covered - will produce a softer, more yin sound. Naming a drum · Every drum has a name. · When a new drum is activated, a naming ceremony is held for it. Blessing a drum · Place tobacco in the four directions on the drum and in the center to Great Spirit. · Allow the wind to blow the tobacco off or blow it off yourself. · Or you can inhale smoke and blow it onto the drum in the four directions and the center to Great Spirit. Holding the drum · Hold the drum in the center of the tying strings, the place of Great Spirit. How to drum · Hold your drum close to you and allow your consciousness to expand into the drum. Holding a crystal at the center of the back of the drum while drumming will magnify the effect. · Slowly rub your hand round the surface of your drum to greet it. · In your mind address your drum by its name. · Be still and allow energy to build inside you. · Begin drumming (your wrist should be relaxed so the movement comes from your wrist, not your arm). Start with a heartbeat (two-beat). Drums Drums have a living energy. They carry you to the stars and return you to your roots. They carry messages and Intentions to and from Great Spirit on their vibrations. To Native peoples the drum is of great importance. In Native American tribes people would be killed if they touched the shaman's drum. · Allow your breathing to deepen and your body to relax. There will come a point where an energy inside you takes over and, instead of consciously drumming, the drum will tell you what rhythm is needed. Different drums will call forth different beats. Trust your intuition. Allow yourself to be drummed. The drumming will not only clear the room's energies but will clear your energy as well. · While drumming, you can drum very quickly and then move the drum in a quick down and up swooping motion to catch and lift energy. · When the clearing of the room is complete take the drum in a circle and then hold it to your heart or make the sign of infinity with your drum. Drum care A drum is made of animal skin and the tone - changes with moisture in the air. If the drum sounds thud-like - it is too moist. Warm your drum by holding it near a light source or blow it with a hair dryer. If the drum sounds tinny - it is too dry. Lightly mist it with water. Place your drum in an honored spot and show it respect. Make a special bag to carry it in. Never put your drum face down. Tuning Forks Tuning forks are very good for clearing wood furniture. Tuning forks come in various sizes. Use them for very fine tuning of energies only after denser energies have been cleared. They are very good at balancing left and right brain. They can be purchased in New Age stores or music stores. Chimes Hand-held chime bars come in various sizes for different pitches. The sound can be made light or very penetrating depending on how you strike them. They can fill a room with sound or be held in such a way as to direct the sound at a particular area. They are very good if you want to clear a room fast. They will quickly clear a large seminar room. You can either use them in the same way lighter ones. · End with the sign of infinity. |
